When Robin Owens came to Morton & Gettys in 2002, it was a small two-person firm. As Morton & Gettys has grown to over 30 attorneys and staff, Robin’s job responsibilities have evolved. Today, she is firm administrator, managing crucial financial, business and human resource operations that keep the firm running smoothly.
Her duties include overseeing all financial accounts and preparation of financial statements. She develops office policies and procedures as well as training programs. She administers employee benefit programs and employment policies.
Robin is a magna cum laude graduate of Winthrop University with a bachelor of science in government and public service. She also is a member of the National Association of Legal Adminstrators. She lives in Rock Hill with her husband Roger. They have two daughters, Julia and Lily.
Michele Allen has been with Morton & Gettys since 2006, beginning as a receptionist and legal secretary before advancing in 2007 to her current position of family law paralegal.
She works with clients to carefully guide them through the process of family law, explaining what happens at each step, and completes crucial paperwork and forms. She also schedules hearings and mediations and works to ensure clients and their files are prepared beforehand.
Michele has taken a number of college business courses, and she also received management and human resources training when she worked for a major corporation before joining Morton & Gettys. She and her family have lived in the area all their lives.
Jenny Baker has worked as a legal secretary and paralegal since 2001. She joined Morton & Gettys in 2010, working first in real estate and now in probate. Her current duties include assisting with acquiring guardianships and conservatorships for parents of adult children with special needs and for people whose aging parents are incapacitated. She also assists with estate litigation and other probate matters.
A native of Atlanta, Jenny holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer science from the University of Georgia. She’s lived in South Carolina since 1999. She and her husband currently reside in York. Two of their children are in college and one is attending medical school.
Kelly Hamilton began working part-time with Morton & Gettys in 2008, steadily earning promotions as she advanced to her current position as a family law paralegal.
In this role, Kelly works closely with clients who are going through very difficult times in their lives. She makes sure their concerns are heard and their needs are addressed. She guides them carefully and compassionately through what can be a confusing and upsetting process, making sure all clients receive the personal attention they need and deserve.
Nikki Harris has worked at Morton & Gettys since 2006. In her current position, she helps with accounts receivable and accounts payable and provides general support to the firm’s administrator. Additionally, Nikki provides administrative support to the criminal defense practice.
Nikki has lived in York County most of her life, moving to Rock Hill at age 10. She currently resides in Edgemoor with her husband and son.

Senior Paralegal Jill Kimbrell has been with Morton & Gettys since 2002, joining the firm shortly after she graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

She also prepares legal descriptions in preparation for closing and monitors financial transactions along the way. Additionally, she prepares post-closing documentation, including title insurance policies. Throughout the entire process, she facilitates communications between attorneys, lenders and clients to help ensure that the transaction is completed as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Jill has lived in Rock Hill her entire life. She is married, with a son and daughter.

Katie is a paralegal working primarily in commercial real estate. She came to Morton in 2015 as a legal secretary. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in criminal justice from Appalachian State University.

A certified paralegal since 2009, Leah McCraney works closely with Morton & Gettys attorneys in personal injury and civil litigation. She began working for the firm as a runner during summers while she was in college and came to Morton & Gettys full-time in 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia and earned her paralegal certificate at Georgetown University in August 2009.
As part of her current duties at Morton & Gettys, Leah works closely with new personal injury clients, discussing their cases and matching them with the attorney who will best serve their needs. She also works with medical providers to help ensure that all relevant records are available as attorneys build their cases. She stays in contact with insurance companies as well, often checking on claim and payment status.
Additionally, Leah drafts pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses in other civil cases. She makes sure communications with the courts and opposing counsel are clear and consistent. She also keeps clients updated as their cases progress.
Leah was born in Rock Hill and has lived here her most of her life. She is a volunteer team leader with the Come-See-Me Festival and serves on the Young Professional’s Advisory Board with the York County Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing on the lake with her husband.

Senior paralegal Courtney Savage has helped clients with probate and estate planning since 2002, when she began working for attorney Joe Raad while she was a student at Winthrop University. After graduating from Winthrop with a degree in business management, she remained with Raad.
Courtney works closely with clients during the probate process by helping them open the estate, inventory assets, and correctly transfer assets out of the decedent’s name prior to closing the estate. Some clients need only minimal assistance and guidance during probate, while others want Morton & Gettys to handle the entire process. Whichever course clients choose, Courtney’s goal always is to make them feel comfortable during what often is a difficult time. She strives to carefully answer their questions and guide them through a legal process that can be daunting and overwhelming for someone who also is grieving a lost loved one. She also assists Raad with basic document drafting and estate planning.
Courtney and her family currently live in Rock Hill, where she has resided most of her life.
