A Strong Collaborative Team
Founded in 2001, our practice has grown from a two-person law office to a mid-sized firm with over 35 employees. Headquartered in Rock Hill, South Carolina, we are licensed to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Our wide scope of practice areas provides opportunity to help businesses and individuals address their issues and work towards their goals.
We work tirelessly toward creating a positive experience for each client, with a team that is open, engaging and approachable. We’re a group of strong individuals brought together by our shared commitment to professionalism, compassion, respect for our clients and each other, pride in our service, and uncompromising integrity.
Supporting Our Community
To us, there’s no better place on earth than Central Upstate, South Carolina. This is where we live, work and play, and where we volunteer our time to make a difference in the lives of others. As individuals and as a firm, we seek opportunities to support community causes, from sponsoring a road race for charity to coaching the local high school’s Mock Trial Team.
Proud to Continue Rock Hill's Legacy
Morton & Gettys calls one of Rock Hill’s most storied addresses home. Our offices occupy the second floor of the historic Friedheim and Smith-Fewell buildings at 113 East Main Street — the first lot ever purchased on Main Street, dating back to 1852. The building itself has been a community cornerstone for over 125 years, most notably as the home of Friedheim’s department store from 1898 to 1965, housed in a structure designed by local architect Hugh Edward White.
For us, setting up shop here was never just about finding office space — Morton & Gettys has always been deeply tied to the tradition and dynamic future of Rock Hill, and we believe the firm belongs at the heart of it. We’re honored to carry on our work in a building that has served this community for over 150 years, and we’re proud to be part of its next chapter.
Please note that access to our office is available only through the entrance to the Friedheim building.
