Best Law Firms rates Morton & Gettys in Tier 1 for real estate law in 2021 edition

ROCK HILL, S.C. – In the 2021 edition of Best Law Firms, Morton & Gettys has again been recognized as a Tier-1 firm in Real Estate Law in the Rock Hill area.

This is the firm’s fifth consecutive year in the listing by the Best Lawyers in America® publication, which recognizes the top practices in the nation by community and practice area. Morton & Gettys was also recognized in the area of Trusts and Estates law.

To qualify for Best Law Firms, at least one of the firm’s attorneys must be included in the peer-reviewed Best Lawyers in America. This year, three Morton & Gettys attorneys were thus recognized. The publication named John Gettys and Josh Vann in the practice area of Real Estate Law, and Joe Raad in Trusts and Estates, from among Rock Hill attorneys.

Also this year, in its new Ones to Watch category, Best Lawyers recognized Melissa Cassell in Real Estate Law in Rock Hill.

Raad has now received the Best Lawyers recognition seven times, while Gettys and Vann were being honored for the fourth consecutive year.

Best Lawyers in America is widely regarded as a leading publication covering the legal profession. This was the 27th edition of Best Lawyers.

“It is gratifying as always to be recognized by this national publication,” firm co-founder John Gettys said. “We work hard at Morton & Gettys to provide the best possible representation to our clients, and it means a great deal to know that our peers in the profession can appreciate the quality of our work.”

About Best Law Firms

Best Lawyers in America, which thousands of lawyers and corporations use annually, is regarded as a definitive guide to the legal profession in the United States. Based on confidential evaluations by the top attorneys in the country, the guide is advertisement-free and no fee is required to be included. All attorneys in the publication are subject to peer review within both their practice areas and their cities.

Once a firm is eligible, clients and colleagues evaluate the whole firm on key factors including knowledge, responsiveness, integrity and cost effectiveness. Attorneys are also asked whether they consider the firm to be a worthy competitor. The data is then compiled to determine final rankings in Best Law Firms in America.
