Fair becomes firm’s ninth attorney to hold multi-state licenses

ROCK HILL, SC – Congratulations to Henry Fair, who became the ninth attorney at Morton & Gettys to hold licenses in multiple states when he was sworn into the Florida Bar.

A graduate from the University of South Carolina School of Law, Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and African American studies at the University of Florida.

His practice at Morton & Gettys includes Commercial Real Estate and Business and Corporate Law.

Holding licenses in multiple states better positions the firm’s attorneys to assist clients whose personal or business matters extend beyond South Carolina. There is a significant benefit for clients in terms of legal efficiency and expediency, particularly for corporate clients and developers whose projects involve multiple states. There also can be financial advantages because clients can avoid the costs of hiring additional attorneys who need time to get up to speed on the matter.

In all, more than half of the Morton & Gettys attorneys are licensed in other states in addition to South Carolina. This includes the overwhelming majority of the firm’s Business and Corporate Law Team. They are:

  • Dan Ballou: Texas.
  • Bev Carroll: North Carolina.
  • Malissa Cassell: North Carolina, Georgia.
  • Henry Fair, Florida.
  • Heath Myers: North Carolina.
  • Joe’Terrious Neal: North Carolina.
  • Mary Stamato: North Carolina.
  • Trent Womble: North Carolina, Florida.
  • Ashley Worrell: North Carolina, Georgia.
