Morton & Gettys welcomes LeAnne Morse as an associate
Morton & Gettys is pleased to welcome LeAnne Burnett Morse as our newest associate. A long-time York County resident with deep community connections, her practice includes probate litigation and family law.
She is a familiar face to many of our clients. LeAnne served as a law clerk at Morton & Gettys for two summers, assisting attorneys with research, document drafting, and court preparation.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, where she earned Dean’s List honors, LeAnne was active in several programs that helped hone her legal skills. These included the Pro Bono Program and Mock Trial Bar. She also volunteered her time to work with military veterans on disability benefits issues and in challenging discharge statuses as part of the law school’s Veterans Legal Clinic.
Before her career in law, LeAnne spent many years as a distinguished media producer. As executive producer and writer for Bluestocking Media, LLC, she led projects for clients such as the Carolina Panthers, Bank of America, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and Hendrick Motorsports. She also served as executive producer and production director for INSP, overseeing programming and award-winning original content.
Additionally, LeAnne is a published author. Her works include “Bayles Mack: A Life in Politics, Business, and the Law,” a biography of the extraordinary career of this state and local leader, and “Images of America: Fort Mill,” part of a best-selling national series of American history books.
She long has been active in the community as well, using her professional talents to create historic tours of Fort Mill and speaking to civic and church groups about the town’s history. She has been involved with the Fort Mill Economic Partners and served on the Fort Mill History Museum Board of Directors.
