Owens becomes firm’s chief operating officer
ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Robin Owens, the long-time administrator with Morton & Gettys, has been named the firm’s first chief operating officer.
“When Robin came to us in 2002, we were a small two-person firm,” firm co-founder John Gettys said. “Slowly, we have grown to a practice of more than a dozen attorneys and a large staff. Robin has been an integral part of those changes and growth, and her new title reflects the vital role she plays here.”
As chief operating officer, Owens oversees financial, business and human resources operations at the firm. She also develops policies, procedures and training programs.
A long-time resident of Rock Hill, Owens graduated magna cum laude from Winthrop University with a degree in government and public service. She and her husband Roger Owens have two daughters.
Owens long has been active in the Rock Hill community, serving St. John’s United Methodist Church in various roles and also volunteering at South Pointe High School. She is a candidate for Rock Hill School District Seat 4.
