Joe’Terrious Neal, an attorney with the Morton & Gettys Personal Injury Group who also practices family law, has been recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers in South Carolina by the National Black Lawyers.

Membership in the professional development and networking association is by invitation only. The process begins with a referral from a current member, approval by the National Black Lawyers Executive Committee, and independent research.

Final selection is based on outstanding legal skills and contributions to the profession. The honor places Joe “among a dynamic group of leaders shaping the future of the legal profession,” the organization said in its welcome letter.

Joe is licensed in South Carolina and North Carolina. He represents clients in a full range of personal injury cases. This includes workplace injuries, medical malpractice, car accidents, and wrongful death cases.

His practice at Morton & Gettys also includes other civil litigation. His family law practice includes separation and divorce, child support, and child custody and visitation.

Joe joined Morton & Gettys in 2019, shortly after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He also earned his bachelor’s from the University of South Carolina, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in criminal justice.
