ROCK HILL, SC – Congratulations to Bev Carroll, an attorney at Morton & Gettys who’s been named to SC Lawyer’s Weekly Employment Law Power List.

The attorneys were selected for inclusion based on criteria that include professional and community service, legal success and reputation among peers.

A certified specialist in employment law, Bev frequently advises businesses of all sizes on employment law issues, including policy manuals and procedures and state and federal laws regarding employees. She also assists businesses with other legal issues, including mergers, licensing, regulatory compliance and more.

A skilled litigator who is licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina, she is poised to represent companies in court. She has handled many complex cases involving trade secrets, employment discrimination, and more. Additionally, Bev is a certified mediator capable of guiding parties to out-of-court resolution of lawsuits.

Bev’s history of service to the legal profession dates back decades and includes many leadership positions in the SC Bar. She served as its president in 2019-20.

Closer to home, Bev currently serves on the boards of directors of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corp. and the Rock Hill Sports Commission. She has chaired the Rock Hill Public Parks & Recreation Commission since 2019.

She has received numerous awards over the course of her distinguished career, including recognition in Super Lawyers and in the peer-reviewed Best Lawyers in America. In 2014, she received the Compleat Lawyer Platinum Award, the top honor bestowed by the University of South Carolina Alumni Council.
