Morton & Gettys welcomes Henry Fair as our newest associate

ROCK HILL, SC – Morton & Gettys is pleased to officially welcome Henry Fair to our firm as an associate.

His will be a familiar face to many clients. He has worked at our firm since completing law school in the spring, and he served as a summer associate at Morton & Gettys in 2022. In that role, he assisted the attorneys on our Commercial Real Estate Team with numerous transactions. His practice will include continued work in this area.

Henry also will be a member of our Business and Corporate Law Team. He joins seven highly skilled, veteran attorneys who hold licenses in three other states in addition to South Carolina. The team prides itself on offering clients a full range of corporate services, including business formation, consulting, contracts, and more. The team counsels clients on day-to-day operations and represents businesses in litigation should that become necessary.

Henry graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he earned President’s List and Dean’s List honors during several semesters. He participated in Mock Trial and served as a peer mentor.

He also served two legal clerkships while in law school. His work for almost two years with the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee included legislative research and screening incoming judges. While clerking at the Fifth Circuit Solicitors Office, he helped prepare indictments for grand juries and assisted prosecutors in trial preparation.

Henry earned his bachelor’s at the University of Florida, graduating cum laude with a degree in political science and African American Studies. He was active in student government and served as vice president of his fraternity while at Florida. He chaired the university’s student-run ACCENT Speakers Bureau, overseeing a $472,00 budget, managing a staff of 63, negotiating contracts and organizing high-profile shows.

Outside of the office, Henry’s varied interests include playing golf, listening to audiobooks, and watching Carolina Panthers and Florida Gators football.
