M&G co-founder John Gettys named to SCBIZ News real estate Power List
SCBIZ News has named John P. Gettys Jr., one of the founding partners of Morton & Gettys, to the magazine’s new “Power List – Real Estate Attorneys.”
John has a diverse legal practice. He is a preferred attorney for many developers and builders and has handled all types of residential real estate closings and purchases. John also focuses on probate administration and probate litigation.
He helps clients with guardianships and conservatorships for children, aging adults, and those with special needs. He also assists personal representatives and heirs in will disputes, as well as trustees and beneficiaries in matters involving the interpretation of trusts.
He has been recognized for his real estate practice by Best Lawyers in America every year since 2018 and was named Lawyer of the Year in 2021 by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly. John also serves as mayor of Rock Hill. He was elected to his second term in October 2021.
