Bev Carroll again earns Employment Law Power List status

Once again, Morton & Gettys attorney Bev Carroll has been named to SC Lawyers Weekly Employment Law Power List.

The exclusive list honors only around a dozen attorneys statewide. Bev has been included in the annual publication every year since its inception.

SC Lawyers Weekly selects its Power List attorneys based on community and professional service, legal success, and reputation among peers.

A skilled and accomplished attorney, Bev has long been a certified specialist in employment law. She serves as a business consultant, advising companies on operational issues, including policy and procedures, regulatory compliance, licensing, mergers, and employee issues.

She relies on her experience as a litigator to represent companies in court if necessary. Licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina, Bev has litigated complex cases involving trade secrets, employment discrimination, and more. As a certified mediator, she can help parties avoid a costly court process by guiding them to settlements.

Bev’s resume of service to the legal profession dates back more than 25 years. It includes a term as SC Bar president and a position on the American Bar Association Board of Governors since 2023.

Her history of service to community organizations is equally impressive. She currently serves on the Rock Hill Sports Commission, and she is a past member of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors with a total of 16 years’ service. She has chaired the Rock Hill Public Parks & Recreation Commission since 2019.

Peers and colleagues have recognized her professional achievements with numerous awards, including annual recognition in “Best Lawyers in America” and in “South Carolina Super Lawyers.” She is a recipient of a Compleat Lawyer Platinum Award, the top honor bestowed by the University of South Carolina’s Joseph F. Rich School of Law Alumni Council.
