Our response to COVID-19

We are here to serve you through this health crisis.

With courts across South Carolina either cutting back on operations or closing altogether, you may wonder whether your own urgent legal matters will be put on hold as well.

At Morton & Gettys, we stand ready to serve you through this crisis, and will help you with most legal matters without you even having to come into the office.

In some areas, such as family law, you may choose to take a different approach in a divorce case, such as taking advantage of our mediation and arbitration services, or considering collaborative divorce. But whatever the practice area, we are fully prepared to make maximum use of technology so that your case isn’t put completely on hold. Most meetings can be conducted via teleconferencing or videoconferencing, and we are set up to do that.

There are few services that we can’t deliver remotely. And in the rare instances where a face-to-face, in-office meeting is necessary, we are geared up to take full precautions. Social distancing will be practiced, with no handshakes, and with all surfaces carefully disinfected. And we certainly have enough pens that we won’t have to pass one back and forth. In keeping with the City of Rock Hill’s ordinance, we require face masks for clients visiting our offices. We will provide them to anyone who does not have one.

We want to protect your health as much as our own. We believe we can do that while still serving our clients, and that’s what we’re committed to doing at Morton & Gettys.
