Morton & Gettys names director of training

Courtney Savage, a long-time paralegal with the firm, has been named Director of Training.

In this role, Courtney will work with new staff and attorneys to make sure they’re familiar with the firm’s software and systems. She also will train staff members who take on new responsibilities that require different skills. Additionally, Courtney will work with staff and attorneys to improve the firm’s efficiency and customer service.

“As Morton & Gettys continues to grow, we saw the value of having one person focused on ensuring the ongoing professional development of our seasoned staff and thorough training for new personnel,” firm Chief Operating Officer Robin Owens said. “Creating the position of Director of Training is one way we are working to ensure that every person who interacts with our office has a positive, professional experience.”

Courtney has 22 years’ experience as a paralegal, including the past nine as senior paralegal for estate planning and probate at Morton & Gettys. She will continue in that role in addition to her new position as director of training.

A graduate of Winthrop University with a degree in business management, Courtney has lived in Rock Hill most of her life.
