Morton & Gettys sponsors York County Gives Volunteer of the Year Award

It’s time to step up and nominate your choice for the York County Gives Volunteer of the Year Award. Your deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Morton & Gettys is sponsoring the award. The firm has been involved since the program’s inception as Rock Hill Gives, before it was rebranded to pull in the entire county.

The idea is to honor those who have gone above and beyond for the community this year. Complete nominations due by Tuesday, Nov. 10. After that, the voting will be via Facebook. The nominee with the most “likes” by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1st will be declared the winner. Here are the official rules: https://www.youryc.com/copy-of-yorkcountyscgives-1.

That day, Dec. 1, is Giving Tuesday. It’s when York County participates in a global effort to a day that encourages people to do good. The Volunteer of the Year will be announced the next day.

Not only will the winning volunteer be honored with the reward, but the nominating organization will receive a $500 contribution. Learn more about the award, and Giving Tuesday, by watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwdw1Q96LUo&feature=youtu.be

At Morton & Gettys, we encourage staff and attorneys to take time to volunteer with local non-profits. We hope other local businesses join us in supporting this great campaign. To find out more, visit yorkcountyscgives.org and givingtuesday.org.
