South Carolina COVID-19 Liability Immunity Act becomes law
South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has signed the COVID-19 Liability Immunity Act into law. It protects for- and non-profit businesses from legal actions stemming from COVID exposure.
Business groups supported the bill, which offers immunity to companies and other groups that follow federal and state health guidelines. Several other states have passed similar legislation, which prevents people from suing businesses that adhere to safety protocols.
