M&G Celebrates 25 Years
25 Acts of Gratitude
In 2001, Rock Hill natives Jim Morton and John Gettys left their neighboring law firms to open a two-person office in a former coffee shop. Twenty-five years later, Morton & Gettys has grown into the largest law firm in the area. With more than a dozen attorneys, the firm employs a collaborative approach to serve a range of clients on everything from buying a first home to transitioning a business to the next generation. The firm recently relocated to the second floor of the beautifully renovated historic Friedheim building, a fitting home for a practice that honors tradition while meeting modern client needs.
As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, the firm is giving back to the community in appreciation of the unwavering support over the years.
Over several weeks, we are finding ways to show our gratitude to the people and businesses of Rock Hill. It started this week on March 19 with a blood drive that led to a donation of 25 pints. The attorneys and staff have also volunteered to support great causes, as they have done consistently over the years. The firm is preparing donations of time, money, food, and more to support local organizations, business, and events.

It’s simply our way of saying “thank you” to a community that has done so much to support us.
Donating Blood at City Hall
Members of the Morton & Gettys team donated blood at City Hall on March 19, and we’ll be continuing that effort throughout our anniversary month of April. Every pint makes a real difference, and there’s no better way to start giving back to the community that has given so much to us. M&G’s John Gettys, Elizabeth Owen, Josh Vann, and Julie Hord led the way for our first act of gratitude. M&G is committed to totaling 25 pints donated.
