An experienced attorney who’s licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, Ashley Worrell focuses her practice at Morton & Gettys on commercial real estate and corporate law.

She assists clients through all phases of their projects, from land acquisition and financing to leases. She’s represented commercial clients in purchases and refinances, starting with contract preparation and following through to closings. She’s helped custom and regional homebuilders with every phase of residential subdivision development, including drafting covenants, conditions, and restrictions for homeowners’ associations.

Ashley also is a real estate broker, a credential that enables her to offer her real estate clients a broad array of perspectives they often need.

The full range of legal experience and varied skill set Ashley brings to the table allows clients to rely on her for everything from negotiations to transactional details. She’s also counseled clients in real estate disputes and on title issues as well as obtained judgments and liens to help secure clients’ creditor interests.

Since beginning her legal practice in the greater Charlotte area in 2012, Ashley has closed hundreds of purchase and refinance transactions, reviewed just as many title opinions and drafted countless finance agreements, leases, trusts, easements, deeds of trust and other legal documents.

Ashley is a graduate of the Charlotte School of Law and the University of Virginia, where she majored in government and sociology, and also studied abroad for a summer at the University of Westminster in London.  Ashley is an avid University of Virginia sports fan and served as the President of the University of Virginia Club of Charlotte from 2014-2016.

Ashley lives in Lake Wylie with her husband, Joe, their twin son and daughter, Jameson and Ella, and their two puppies, Dale and Lexi.
