A long-time Fort Mill resident and graduate of the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, LeAnne Burnett Morse focuses her practice at Morton & Gettys on probate litigation and family law.
While earning Dean’s List honors in law school, LeAnne was active in organizations such as Mock Trial Bar and the Pro Bono Program. She assisted military veterans on disability benefits issues and in challenging discharge statuses as part of the law school’s Veterans Legal Clinic.
Additionally, she served as a law clerk for two summers at Morton & Gettys, assisting attorneys across a variety of practice areas. Her work included legal research, drafting pleadings, briefs, and memoranda, and supporting the firm’s attorneys in preparing for court and negotiation.
LeAnne turned to the law after a distinguished career in media production. As executive producer and writer for Bluestocking Media, LLC, she led projects for clients such as Bank of America, the Carolina Panthers, Hendrick Motorsports, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. She served as executive producer and production director for INSP, overseeing network programming and award-winning original content.
LeAnne also is a published author. Her works include “Bayles Mack: A Life in Politics, Business, and the Law,” a biography of the extraordinary career of this state and local leader. She also wrote “Images of America: Fort Mill” as part of a best-selling national series of American history books.
Though she’s a Kentucky native and lifelong University of Kentucky basketball fan, her York County connections run deep. LeAnne has served on the Fort Mill History Museum Board of Directors and with the Fort Mill Economic Partners. She developed historic tours of Fort Mill for the museum and often spoke to civic and church groups on the town’s history.
She and her husband, Kelly, are the parents of two grown sons.
